Emory Greene Memorial - Emory Greene served on the Bibb County Board of Commissioners for 17 years and was chairman at the time of his death in 1990. He was a trustee of the Macon State College Foundation and for many years worked with the Southside Lions Club to support the College’s scholarship program. The Emory Greene Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a Bibb County resident. Special consideration is given to students with financial need who demonstrate a commitment to public or community service.
