Dr. Barbara Thomas Frizzell Endowed Scholarship in Business - Established by friends, family and colleagues, this scholarship honors Dr. Barbara Frizzell for 33 years of exceptional service to Macon State College as a professor of economics and Vice President for Academic Affairs. In 1997, Dr. Frizzell was honored as a Distinguished Professor of Teaching and Learning by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Under her leadership as Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2003-2009, Macon State experienced unprecendented growth in new degree offerings, student enrollment, and the number of full-time faculty. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business will be selected based on academic achievement, leadership and community service.
